Over the Labour Weekend October 24th to 26th Classic Flyers hosted the Classic Cover and Century Batteries 2015 Street Rod Nationals.
This event showcased some of the amazing Hot Rod and Classic Car restorations from around the country. Like their owners, the vehicles have evolved into a more dignified and diverse group, to the point where it is difficult to actually define a Hot Rod. Hot Rodding is perhaps a culture, as well as a description of a vehicle type, and a definition will vary from owner to owner. The most popular definition of a Hot Rod would be "a modified vehicle of American origin, originally manufactured prior to 1949".
Over 200 cars attended the Show and Shine display on Sunday. Also on the Sunday the Street Kana event allowed selected vehicles to demonstrate their power and grace in a theatrical show as they traversed up and down the taxi-way belching smoke and flame and making a lot of noise.
