Fuel Up at Avgas Café & Bar – simply delicious!
Av Gas Café & Bar is the perfect spot to relax and before or after your museum visit, but you needn’t be visiting the museum to sample some of the best coffee and café fare in the region.
We are open from 7am to 5pm, 7 days a week to tempt you with our speciality breakfasts, a wide range of delicious snacks and filling lunches. All food is made fresh daily.
On Friday we are open till late with happy hour from 4pm onwards.
Enjoy al fresco dining in our new garden bar or dine inside where the classic aviation theme surrounds you - vintage aircraft models hang overhead, memorabilia from a bygone era surrounds and our large projection screen continuously runs a silent film show of archival aviation footage, adding to your aviation experience. 
Whether you fancy a full breakfast (like the popular Eggs Benedict and the indulgent French toast, bacon and banana stack), a freshly-cooked pastry, a mouth-watering cake or muffin, a gourmet salad or just a darn good coffee – it’s all here at Av Gas Café & Bar.
We are fully licensed with an excellent selection of New Zealand wines, beer and more. We are also open ‘till late’ Friday night – with specials at the bar. Locals have discovered the delicious secret that is Av Gas Café & Bar, and seem to be returning time and time again!
