Skyhawk Reassembly Image Gallery 1

Check out the following images taken by Classic Flyers Volunteer Geoff Tansley of the arrival and re-assembly of Skyhawk NZ601 in the main hangar of Classic Flyers over a period of several days starting Monday 21st May 2012.

If you want to see the RNZAF team in action filmed on a stop motion camera go to this web site at Sunlive. It is really impressive.

DAY ONE (Arrival)
Arrival 5
Arriving out side ClassicFlyers. It must have been a challenge passing this load!

The cockpit and front half of the fuselage secured to the low loader on its shipping cradle

The tail and rear half of the fuselage still very much intact. It would have made an intimdating load to try and pass on the highway!
Arrival 1a-33
Most aircraft arriving at th Classic Flyers ramp usually do so under their own power!

The Delta shaped wing plan form stands out displaying the aircraft's lineage back to the 1969's when this type of wing design was first used in US Combat Aircraft.
