Education and Group Visits are an important part of the overall experience that we provide at Classic Flyers.
Classic Flyers is well placed in our community to enable the sharing of our unique Aviation Heritage from the past. Young and old visitors alike can learn of incredible aviation events and the amazing local people that have played a part in them.
That learning can be in the format of a self-guide walk around the museum taking in the sights and sounds and the tactile experience of some of our interactive display.
Alternatively you can go on a guided tour of the museum with one of our volunteer guides who are happy to relate some of their personal aviation experiences or tell you more information behind some of the many exhibits on display.
The other option is to come on a planned group visit either as a general interest group such as car or motorbike club, senior citizens group or other group where you can be given a guided tour focused on your requirements. Otherwise you can come for an educational visit as part of a school trip or pre-school outing where an educational experience package will be tailored to your requirements.
This year we are also starting a series of Classroom lectures aimed at student pilots or returning pilots wanting to sharpen their their theory knowledge of NZ CAA aviation subjects required for the issue of Pilots Licences.
Whatever option you choose, Classic Flyers has the resources and facilities to provide you with a unique educational visit.
