The team at Classic Flyers would like to remind all our Kindergartens and Preschools in the region of our very own treasure trove of aviation history and heritage housed at Classic Flyers museum. Click here for more information.
We have on offer two museum visit options aimed at children of your age group . One is the standard museum only visit. The second is a museum visit combine with a demonstration of the Tauranga Airport Fire Engine. Both of these activities are a lot of fun and can be achieved in a morning visit to the museum.
We can offer quiz sheets to your students. We are very happy to send a copy of them electronically so you can print them off, for your students to have, in preparation for their visit.
For the older kids we have another option available for your school visit that is called the Flight School 101 Experience. This is a more focused visit to the museum where we setup a classroom style seating in the hangar and provide a lecture on the Theory of Flight and and aspects of flying such and flight controls, engine, cockpit instruments etc. The kids also get to make and keep a model glider as part of the experience. Due to time constraints the Airport Fire Engine Demo is not available if the Flight School 101 option is chosen.
